Saudi Arabia’s anti-corruption authority, Nazaha, has arrested 82 government officials on charges of bribery and abuse of power during an extensive crackdown in March.
The arrests follow a series of 1,453 investigative visits conducted across various government offices and private institutions.
According to Nazaha, investigations were launched against 313 individuals linked to multiple ministries, including the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Human Resources, Ministry of Municipal and Housing Affairs, and the Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority.
Following thorough inquiries, 82 individuals were taken into custody for their alleged involvement in corruption.
Authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to rooting out misconduct, warning that those found guilty will be held accountable even after leaving public office.
