Gold prices in Pakistan on Monday surged, mirroring the rise in international rates. In the local market, the price per tola of gold reached Rs301,500, marking an increase of Rs1,500.
The rate for 10-gram gold also climbed, selling at Rs258,487 after a rise of Rs1,286, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

This comes after a dip in gold prices on Saturday when the price per tola decreased by Rs500.
Internationally, gold prices increased as well. APGJSA reported that the rate was $2,869 per ounce (including a $20 premium), reflecting a $12 increase during the day.
Similarly, the price of silver rose by Rs30, bringing it to Rs3,270 per tola.
