With just a week left before the premiere of Ibrahim Ali Khan’s highly awaited debut Nadaaniyan, Netflix launched the two-minute-long official trailer across all major digital platforms, including YouTube, on Saturday.
“A fresh academic year kicks off, and love becomes their biggest lesson. Starring Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor, watch Nadaaniyan, arriving March 7, exclusively on Netflix,” read the trailer’s caption.
The sneak peek teases a layered love story between Arjun Mehta, an ambitious law student, and Pia Jaisingh, who initially pays him INR 25,000 per week to pose as her boyfriend before genuine feelings complicate their arrangement.
Billed as a ‘coming-of-age romance between a feisty and free-spirited South Delhi girl and a pragmatic yet ambitious Noida boy,’ Nadaaniyan is helmed by debutant director Shauna Gautam. The film also boasts an ensemble of seasoned actors, including Mahima Chaudhry, Suniel Shetty, Dia Mirza, and Jugal Hansraj, portraying the parental figures of the lead duo.
Produced under Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment, a digital-focused subsidiary of Dharma Productions, Nadaaniyan is set to premiere on Netflix on March 7.
