The prime accused in the Libya boat tragedy, Muhammad Iqbal, has been arrested at Lahore airport.
According to FIA Director Sarfraz Virk, the accused had been living in Libya since 2013 and was running a human trafficking network.
The Director FIA said that the accused was involved in the illegal transportation of money, the accused was transporting money from Libya to the human trafficking network, the name of the accused was on the blacklist and various cases were registered against him.

It may be recalled that in June 2023, a boat carrying migrants from Libya to Greece sank near Greece, more than 100 Pakistanis were among the dead.
