Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio’s iconic costume from his blockbuster 1997 movie ‘Titanic’ is going up for auction with an estimated value of up to $250,000.
The Hollywood star’s fame skyrocketed for his role as Jack Dawson in the famous movie. The costume up for sale includes a shirt, waistcoat, and trousers DiCaprio wore in Titanic.
A tag inside the vest bears the name of the tailor, Dominic Gherardi, and reads ‘Mr. Leonardo DiCaprio’ with the date August ’96.
The auction, featuring this costume and other memorabilia from the film, is scheduled for November 9-12 and will be conducted by Propstore Auctioneers in London.
Described by the auction house as “one of the most iconic and sought-after costumes in cinema history,” DiCaprio’s costume is expected to attract significant attention. Released in 1997, the hit earned 11 Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Director for filmmaker, James Cameron.
