SAKRAND: A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against security agencies over the killing of four villagers in Sakrand area of Sindh.
The FIR was lodged under Sections 302 (intentional murder) and 324 (murder attempt) of the Pakistan Penal Code on the complaint of Rahib Jalbani, the brother of one of the deceased.
The complainant said that he, his brother Sujawal Jalbani, and other relatives were present in the house of Ali Nawaz Jalbani on Thursday around 4.45 PM when five police mobiles and one Vigo arrived carrying the security personnel.
The FIR said around 40 to 45 uniformed personnel and ten in plain clothes disembarked from the vehicles and told those present in the house that they were terrorists and the officers would let the residents go and kill the rest.
The FIR said the security officials began firing on the villagers, adding that the complainant’s brother and Nizamuddin Jalbani died instantly while Imam Bux Jalbani, Mehar Jalbani, Imamuddin Jalbani, Allahdad Jalbani, Sarang Jalbani, Ali Nawaz Jalbani and Liaquat Jalbani were injured.
The complainant said villagers gathered after hearing the gunshots and the injured were moved to Taluka Hospital Sakrand, adding that Imam Bux and Mehar lost their lives on the way.

CM Sindh orders inquiry
A day earlier Security forces raided a village in Sakrand to arrest militants belonging to the proscribed outfit Sindhudesh Revolutionary Army. Four people were killed and nine others were wounded.
Sindh Caretaker Chief Minister Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar ordered an inquiry into the killing of four villagers in Sakrand and summoned a report on the incident.
The interim chief minister expressed sorrow and regret over the incident and said he met with interim Sindh Home Minister Haris Nawaz to discuss the incident. He said such incidents are painful and should not take place.
CM Sindh said he had formed a three-member committee to conduct an inquiry into the incident and directed them to report their findings within four days. The inquiry committee would be headed by Hyderabad Commissioner Khalid Hyder Shah and included the Shaheed Benazirabad DIG and Karachi DIG Special Branch.
A Rangers spokesperson said the paramilitary agency launched an intelligence-based operation against high-value targets. Upon seeing law enforcement officers, the miscreants attacked the raiding team and caused injuries to four Rangers personnel
Benazirabad SSP Hyder Raza identified the wounded Rangers personnel as Abdul Rasheed, Mohammad Awais, Mohammad Naeem, Mohammad Owais Asghar and policeman Mohammad Asif He claimed that the operation was carried out to nab SRA militants.
Sindh’s caretaker Home Minister Harris Nawaz, labeled the locals as terrorists and indicated that the operation was conducted based on information about a suspected terrorist presence.
After the incident, the villagers took to the streets and staged a sit-in on a section of the National Highway carrying the coffins of the deceased. The sit-in was called off after assurances from the chief minister.
Sindh United Party Secretary-General Roshan Burriro claimed that those killed were supporters of his party and were shot by security forces. Many other nationalist parties also protested against the killing.
SUP President Syed Zain Shah said deceased were his constituency’s voters but they were not politically affiliated. He said the heirs agreed to call off the protest after the formation of a judicial inquiry into the incident. He informed that the postmortem of the deceased was also conducted.
