Long Live ‘Alice in Borderland’, the dystopian Japanese thriller series has been renewed for season 3.
The first season launched in December 2020 and was ranked in the streamer’s top ten most-watched shows in Asia and Europe.
The second season debuted in December 2022 and became Netflix Japan’s most-watched title ever.
It appeared in the top 10 in over 90 countries, claiming the No. 1 spot in 17 of them, and clocked 200 million viewing hours worldwide.

Now, Netflix has officially confirmed the much-awaited renewal of its global smash hit series, Alice in Borderland.

Alice in Borderland
Based on the manga series of the same name by Haro Aso, Alice in Borderland follows the story of Arisu after he is transported to a parallel universe in which he has to play and win games to remain alive. The games are divided into four categories represented by suits on a deck of playing cards.
Season 3
The streaming service shared a post that teases Season 3 of the Japanese thriller. The post features 10 playing cards arranged in two rows of five cards each.
Fans decrypted the post by using the card’s face value and suit to spell out “Alice Three.” As of Wednesday morning, the post has been viewed over 3.3 million times and received over 30,000 likes.
Who is returning in season 3?
Kento Yamaz aki as Yuzuha Usagi, Tao Tsuchiya as Ryōhei Arisu, Aya Asahina as Kuina, Nijirō Murakam as Chishiya, Ayaka Miyoshi as Ann, and Dori Sakurada as Niragi are confirmed reprising their roles in season 3.
