The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday reserved verdict on former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s plea against conviction in the Toshakhana case.
A division bench comprising Justice Farooq and Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri presided over the proceedings.
On August 5, Imran was arrested from his Lahore residence shortly after a district and sessions court in the federal capital found him guilty in the Toshakhana case and sentenced him to three years in prison. He is currently being kept in Attock Jail.
Imran had subsequently filed an appeal in the high court against his conviction. He had also approached the Supreme Court (SC) against the IHC’s decision to remand the case back to the trial court judge who had convicted him.

Amjad Pervaiz, an attorney for the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), made his case against the suspension of the former prime minister’s prison term.
Latif Khosa, Imran’s attorney, had concluded his remarks during the last session. The IHC announced that it would make its decision tomorrow after hearing the arguments.
