WASHINGTON: The US Department of State has stated that the US is not involved in any conspiracy against Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf and former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The spokesperson of the US Department of State, Matthew Miller, said in a press conference that the allegations leveled against the US regarding Pakistan are false and will remain false.
The journalist asked the spokesperson of the US Department of State that there was news regarding the secret cable that the US put pressure on Pakistan to remove the former prime minister.

However, the spokesman refrained from commenting on the alleged cable, saying that Pakistanis cannot discuss private conversations with diplomats. A foreign journalist asked the spokesperson of the US Department of State, “You mean that the US did not say that Imran Khan should go?”. A spokesman for the US State Department said that this is roughly what it means.
He said that the documents that have come out do not prove that the US has chosen a Pakistani leader or not. “We had expressed concern over the visit of the former Prime Minister of Pakistan to Russia,” he asserted.
The spokesman further said that Pakistan, like the rest of the world, demands relevant democratic principles, human rights, and the rule of law, and will continue direct dialogue with the Pakistani government.
