An critical analysis of domestic politics

The current power struggle in the nation resembles a TV program that fails to elicit any emotional response from the ordinary citizen, as if they have sustained a knee injury.

Rather than bickering over assigning the responsibility to tackle the issues of the nation, both the public and politicians should come together to work towards a common goal. It is crucial to consider the impact on the fate of the entire country.

You need not worry as even though the domestic political landscape is fraught with intricate and challenging problems, the author’s expertise is available to assist you. Hence, let us endeavor to perceive the country’s political situation from a fresh perspective.

Speaking about the economy of the nation, it can be likened to a car devoid of an engine. Despite progressing from its initial state, it has retrogressed even further. The inflation monster has been unleashed, unemployment rates are increasing, and the currency of the country is depreciating continuously, akin to a person drowning in a river whose value marginally improves with a slight touch. Since the situation never ameliorated, there is no hope of escaping it.

Still, there is nothing to fear. As former Prime Minister Imran Khan asserts that there is no need to be apprehensive and suggests a singular solution: do not panic. All leaders have a common resolution to the economic situation, which is to construct roads to create an impression of national progress every time they assume power.

Our political leaders, akin to Hippocrates, firmly believe that nothing can resolve the crises afflicting the nation more effectively than a resplendent road that enables them to flaunt their shiny cars.

The ongoing struggle for the post of premiership can be likened to an interminable game of musical chairs. No Prime Minister has been able to complete a full term of five years, as they were cognizant of the fact that their turn was temporary. The only disparity compared to the actual game of Musical Chairs is the absence of music, replaced by allegations of corruption.

Each time this game of musical chairs enters a new phase, a novel leader asserts that they will rectify the egregious conduct and policies of their predecessor with their exceptional strategies. However, what ultimately occurs is that the situation exacerbates, culminating in the worst possible outcome.

To claim that politicians are solely responsible for the nation’s predicament would be unfair. Instead, the democratic system as a whole operates like a dysfunctional machine beyond repair, impervious to the efforts of even the most competent technicians or engineers.

Rich is getting richer. The poor, poorer. The middle class, who strive to secure their future, have now become part of the impoverished populace, struggling to make ends meet on a daily basis and agonizing over their uncertain future.

In reality, the political system of the nation is structured to favor the privileged class, yet we continue to vote for them with the expectation that someday our country will experience a positive transformation, leading to prosperity for all.

As the poet says:

جھونکے کچھ ایسے تھپکتے ہیں گلوں کے رخسار

جیسے اِس بار تو پت جھڑ سے بچا ہی لیں گے

As a nation, we have an innate fondness for humor and often find ourselves laughing even in the direst of circumstances. We take pleasure in laughing at ourselves, and rightly so, as it is an inherent characteristic of the Pakistani identity.

In the end, it is imperative to acknowledge that the political climate of our nation has indeed disillusioned the populace. Nevertheless, we remain optimistic about a brighter future. However, we must not solely rely on hope but take action ourselves. Unless we step outside of our homes and actively protest against the pervasive infringement of our rights, our sacrifices and struggles will be futile.

As Mirza Ghalib says:

قرض کی پیتے تھے مے لیکن سمجھتے تھے کہ ہاں

رنگ لائے گی ہماری فاقہ مستی ایک دن
