Pakistan’s neighboring China’s position has been apparently neutral in the Russia Ukraine war, because China always strives to not make a statement in violation of a global forum or international law, including the United Nations, but to appreciate the laws. China and Russia are working together in space science, however, Western countries have alleged that China wants to provide its weapons to Russia and make it stronger against Ukraine.
On the global front, China has always adopted a strong diplomatic strategy and issued various statements based on its foreign policy. China mostly follows its foreign policy principles. As far as cooperation is concerned, China is engaged in helping Russia on both military and economic fronts. China also signed a $ 177 billion contract last year. In many aspects, it can be said that China has surpassed Russia in several fields in the region.
China seems to be getting superior to Russia in various fields, including its technology, military skills and economic and diplomatic influence. On the one hand, China is helping Russia’s space and economic fronts, while on the other hand China issued a statement in the UN that Beijing is not support any party in the Ukraine conflict. The UN Charter should be respected and all resolutions should be followed and China’s statement can be termed as very balanced.
Basically, China is engaged in helping Russia through land routes, air aid or any other cooperation, under the platform of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, China seems to increase its regional influence. Both Russia and China are in contact with strong members of the SCO in the region. The two major members include Russia and China, while India can be taken as the third major country, but more countries cannot rely on it.
In fact, India has become part of a defense deal with the United States, whether it be a naval base in Gujarat or the creation of military products. Gujarat Naval Base also has many activities and China has serious concerns on it. India has openly become the ally of the United States on the commercial and military front, which the United States is seeing as implementing its policy of limiting China’s influence on the region, whether we talk about CPEC or India’s relations with Pakistan and China. The rude attitude of India makes everything clear.
Where the CPEC is mentioned, the matter cannot be completed without mentioning Pakistan. Whether it is the issue of the Pak -China Economic Corridor (CPEK) or the issue of BRI countries, India’s pro -US policy is exposed. Pakistan plays a central role for all major countries, including the US, Russia and India, because of its strategic position.
The important point of China’s foreign policy cannot be ignored here that China does not want to take any stand in front of the international community that is against the principles of the UN Charter. China does not go against the sovereignty of other countries and fully respect it. This writer call it the beauty of China’s foreign policy. Once when a resolution was being passed in the UN Security Council, China said without naming Russia, that if a country national security is hitting, this country has the right to defend itself. By This way, China also indicated that Russia’s military operation against Ukraine (which the members of the European Union, including the United States call a war) is absolutely correct because Russia has made it clear that it had to begin the aforementioned military operation because of threats to its national security. Because, If Ukraine became a member of NATO, in this case the weapons and equipment of Western countries would have been installed at the doorstep of Russia. It is also noteworthy that in 1992, Russia was assured that the countries located near Russia would not be made part of NATO.
That is why the United States is now taking a more criticized attitude against China. The relations between Russia and China are very strong, which covers economic affairs as well as military cooperation in military trade and space, as well as other extensive issues. Due to the emerging international scenario, it seems that China is emerging as the most powerful country in the region by leaving behind.
n such a case, Pakistan should play its cards very well on the basis of strong and coordinated cooperation with China so that it can take benefit from the situation in the future and avoid the loss of conflict among the major powers.
