As more and more Hindu fanatics calling openly for Muslims genocide in India, analysts believe India is rapidly moving towards the dreaded stage of genocide.

In the recent past numerous videos have surfaced Muslims being publicly flogged by Hindu.

Listen to him, he is a famous industrialist of India,Mr. Baba Ramdev, who is spreading his hatred towards Islam, and the fact is that he is also a friend of Modi ji, has it now become a task to spread hatred towards Islam in India? https://t.co/ObdfBlvBYJ pic.twitter.com/4Vwm9f5PfQ

Mr Ramdev (born Ram Kisan Yadav in 1965), also referred to by his followers with the honorifics Baba, is an Indian yoga guru, businessman, also is aligned with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on a number of issues, has openly spreading hate against Muslims and Christians.

In another video, another Hindu supremacist is calling for mass murder of Muslims and Christians.

Recently an upsurge in lynching and mistreating of Muslim youngsters has been observed in India, especially during the religious festival of Garba. In multiple incidents, the right-wing Hindu extremist mob maltreated Muslims around the said religious festival.

Nine Muslim men were publicly flogged by BJP authorities in the Indian state of Gujarat for throwing stones at a Garba event.

On October 3 and 4, three incidents were reported where state machinery supported Hindu extremists in their anti-Muslim agenda.

“India has all of the preparatory stages for more genocidal massacres,” according to Dr Gregory Stanton, the founder of Genocide Watch.

Dr Stanton had predicted a genocide in Rwanda years before it took place in 1994. Now he has warned of an impending genocide of Muslims in India, comparing the situation of the country under the Narendra Modi government to events in Myanmar and Rwanda.

For Muslim genocide denialers in India and abroad, Adama Dieng, the former United Nations Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide, has a message for you:

“Genocide is a process. The Holocaust did not start with the gas chambers. It started with hate speech.” pic.twitter.com/0Al2rSsVQc

— Indian American Muslim Council (@IAMCouncil) October 5, 2022

These are merely the latest face of India’s state-driven Hindu radicalization. In a country where 84% of the population is Hindu, and just 14% Muslim, Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has achieved the astonishing feat of creating a deep sense of Hindu victimhood, stoking the othering of Muslims via disinformation, hate speech, opening old religious wounds, manipulating a servile media, silencing progressive voices, and empowering Hindu supremacist vigilante groups. “Hindu khatre mein hain” (Hindus are in danger) is a right-wing refrain that resonates deeply today.

As a result, many Hindus have now been persuaded to believe that India’s biggest problem is its Muslims. Modi rode to power on the promise to fix economy. But as the economy has continued to worsen, and unemployment and poverty have risen under him, the BJP has increasingly fallen back on supremacist politics to deflect attention and evade responsibility. To keep winning elections, it needs to keep polarizing Hindu voters against Muslims, and spinning ever more outrageous campaigns to demonize Muslims.
