WASHINGTON: Spokesperson for the United States Department of State Edward Price has said that Pakistan has suffered heavy casualties from terrorism, and the Taliban government of Afghanistan has ensured the security of the region from terrorists.
According to the details, during a press briefing in the American capital, Washington DC, the spokesperson of the State Department, Edward Price, called Pakistan a close security partner of the United States and said that Pakistan will do what is in its own interest.
During the press briefing, the spokesperson of the US Department of State reiterated his statement that it is Pakistan’s right to defend itself. The attacks caused heavy casualties, he said.

During the briefing, Price said that Pakistan and the United States have a common interest in the fulfillment of the promises made by the Taliban, and the Taliban must ensure that the region remains safe from TTP and Al-Qaeda. “We took action against Ayman al-Zawahiri in Afghanistan,” he maintained.
The spokesperson of the US Department of State said that unilateral action will be taken if necessary to deal with terrorism. “No opinion can be given on what kind of steps Pakistan can take. Cross-border violence has claimed many lives. He condemned the violence of terrorists including TTP,” Price added.
