WASHINGTON: The blizzard wreaked havoc in the United States and has caused daily life to be suspended, and more than 70 people have died as a result of various accidents.
According to the details, several inches of snow froze on the roads in America, and the work of rescuing the citizens trapped in the storm and removing the snow is going on. Moreover, the electricity supply was suspended in different areas.
Around 2500 flights had to be cancelled in the affected cities of America, the airports were crowded with US citizens. Freezing winds and heavy snowfall brought life to a standstill. The American media says that 122,000 homes are without electricity.

According to the international media, the western region of New York was buried under 4 feet of snow due to the blizzard. A large number of people in Buffalo were urged to stay at home. Temperatures in New York fell from minus 2 to minus 6 degrees.
On the other hand, the US Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg said in his statement yesterday that thousands of canceled flights can be attributed to system failure. The country has been affected by winter and air travel is also facing severe disruptions.
