Alice in Borderland, another tense Netflix battle royale series, is returning for a second season after a chaotic first one. On Sunday, Netflix released the trailer during Comic Con Experience, a yearly entertainment expo in Brazil (CCXP).
Co-stars Kento Yamazaki (Arisu) and Tao Tsuchiya (Usagi) will unravel the mysteries in Shibuya, the setting of the first season, now densely filled with overgrown plants.
Based on by Haro Aso’s manga of the same name and directed by Shinsuke Sato, Season 2 sees Arisu (Kento Yamazaki) and Usagi (Tao Tsuchiya) return after the big gamemaster reveal of the first season’s finale.
They are still attempting to return to the parallel/real Tokyo by obtaining “visas” through a number of really terrible games that look to be even riskier than before. Additionally, there are new opponents to overcome and new environments to explore, including what appears to be a difficult shipping container maze.
