All leaders of political leaders of country’s political parties including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz or Pakistan People’s Party and others have their own history and all describe their history from the establishment of Pakistan till now.
For example, if we talk about Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan, the operation of the 90s is mentioned in their history, but it is not mentioned anywhere in the history of Pakistan People’s Party or PML-N, nor Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf. Similarly, some things are also attributed to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
Two days ago, Chairman PTI Imran Khan said that if vandalism starts in the country, the situation will worsen, he does not want chaos and announced resignations from all the assemblies.
Yesterday, PML-N Member of Assembly Hina Parvez Butt said in her Twitter message that now everyone is waiting for Niazi Sahib to take a U-turn on his announcement of resignations from the assemblies. Imran Khan’s announcement was a failed attempt at face-saving, she said.
What is face-saving? If the readers remember, Allama Tahir-ul-Qadri also staged a sit-in, but what happened after that, can be termed as face-saving as his demand was not actually fulfilled.
During November, the political environment of the entire country seems to be in favor of Imran Khan. Does anyone really think that Imran Khan needs any face-saving? The party which is ruling two provinces, can not dissolve these assemblies?
On Sunday, Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Mushtaq Ghani said that they are ready to quit the assembly and just waiting for Imran Khan’s order. If PTI comes out of KPK assembly, empty seats will be left behind.
Stop here for a moment, we also have to look at a past announcement of resignations by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf. Imran Khan was deprived of his Prime Ministership, after which all the members of the National Assembly signed their resignations.
Later, some members of the assembly withdrew from it and approached the court. Is a similar history going to be repeated in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab Assembly? that will only be decided by time.
