KARACHI: Karachi city police along with an intelligence agency on Tuesday arrested a fake army colonel along with his 4 accomplices impersonating police guards during a joint operation.
According to Superintendent of Police City the suspects were arrested from Kharadar Karachi. Police also seized four sub-machine guns and a vehicle.
The accused named Abdul Latif Jilani had been impersonating as an army colonel while suspects Osama, Shehbaz, Rizwan, and Abid Ali accompanied him as police guards.

SSP City said that the suspects were involved in land grabbing, extortion and blackmailing. The main suspect was helping land grabbing groups by introducing himself as an army officer to senior police officers.
The police registered an FIR 448/2022 under section 170, 171, 34. Further investigation is underway.
