Ushna Shah has landed herself into hot waters after commenting on the upcoming series titled House of Hammer surrounding alleged abuse against American actor Armie Hammer.
Armie, the great-grandson of oil tycoon Armand Hammer, was accused of rape last year, but after a Los Angeles Police Department investigation, no charges were filed by the district attorney’s office.
The actor denied any claims of sexual abuse and maintained through his lawyer that sexual encounters were consensual. He went to treatment for six months for drug, alcohol, and sex issues.

Now, taking to her Twitter, the Habs actress defended the actor and wrote: ‘Am I the only one who thinks #Armiehammer is being grossly violated with this new exposè? Sure his fetishes are weird but the women were free to leave.. weren’t they?’

Armie Hammer and the Hammer family are the subjects of a new investigative Discovery+ docuseries titled House of Hammer. The show puts the spotlight back on the embattled actor’s private life.
In the documentary, Courtney Vucekovich and Julia Morrison share alleged messages and voice notes from Hammer that detail his purported sexual and cannibalistic fantasies, reports of which had sparked a social media storm last year.
