After eight years in the Election Commission, the decision of the foreign funding case was finally pronounced. The main reasons for this delay are known reasons for which the term “unknown reasons” is better. But along with these reasons, one reason has also been included that during this case, PTI’s lawyers filed requests for adjournment of the case forty times and seven times challenged its notices in the Islamabad High Court. But what happened to every goat’s mother happened one day. So in this case too, the mother goat is now under the knife, and the knife is in the hands of the same PDM whose leadership the mother goat has been calling corrupt for years. When the decision came, Shah Mehmood Qureshi kept waiting for six to eight hours that Imran Khan, who repeatedly referred to the political values of the West, might resign according to the western political traditions, but when he saw that there was no movement, he made the statement “Alhamdulillah captain.” The whole community continued to chant this morning that the decision is a clean chit for us. But when they read the decision, they took a stand in the evening, “God willing, they will challenge the decision in the court” as if they would challenge why the captain was red-handed.
Although the entire “Uthwada” also hopes that the “Bandial Express” will come to their rescue and the same idea is seen as a fear among PDM sympathizers. We ourselves do not deny this possibility. But politics is a game of possibilities, so there is another possibility which cannot be ignored. It is a known fact that Imran Khan and his patrons first disagreed about why Usman Buzdar was made Chief Minister of Punjab. During almost the entire tenure of Imran Khan, there was pressure on him to remove Usman Buzdar and make Pervaiz Elahi the Chief Minister of Punjab under the agreed scheme. But Khan Usman Buzdar remained adamant about the decision and did not succumb to this pressure until the last moment.
Meanwhile, water was allowed to flow under the bridges for as long as the tradition of keeping a prime minister in power has been going on for years. When this period of three years was over, the same game started as it is in the third year of any Prime Minister. PDM had already created the environment for this. So Imran Khan was also placed in the same line of Prime Ministers who could rule for three and a half years only. Thus, the political scenario of today’s history is that the Prime Minister was also removed in the middle of the tradition. With this move, PDM was also tamed, and with the same move, Parvez Elahi’s path was also removed.
The PDM government is not a choice but a compulsion of the establishment. So his less control over power is in the wider interest of the establishment itself. Because the current leadership of the establishment is still a victim of the fear that it has come between two wheels. One is PDM and the other is PTI. So it seems that both have been given a little bit of power and both have been kept too weak to grind the establishment together. The point to be understood is that the recent decision of the three-member bench of the Supreme Court to overthrow the Hamza Shehbaz government seems to be in favor of the PTI. But it is yet to be proved that this decision has actually been given in favor of PTI. As a result of the decision of the Supreme Court, Pervaiz Elahi has become the Chief Minister in Punjab, whose Chief Ministership Imran Khan did not accept under any circumstances. And making him the Chief Minister was the first wish of the establishment. So the wish of the establishment has been fulfilled. So, the decision of the Supreme Court is not Imran Khan but the decision given in favor of the establishment is seen. Is it really so? It will be known when Imran Khan will give any direction to Pervaiz Elahi which is against the intention of the establishment. If Pervaiz Elahi was hesitant to admit it, it would be clear that the moment when Imran Khan is told to “move your hand, he has a camera in front of him” will prove that the complex political prank in Punjab is going to happen. Not with MK but with PTI. In this case, what will Khan do most? This means that Pervez will withdraw support from Elahi. So what does it matter? Pervez Elahi will move to PDM.
Currently, the situation is that General Bajwa wants to hold elections before his retirement. Reports are that he wants to retire after conducting free and fair elections so that the stain of 2018 can be washed away. In this regard, the situation is satisfactory for them as they know that the PML-N cannot cause problems by coming to power with a huge majority in free and fair elections. Rather, it is expected that the next government will also be a coalition government of PDM. A coalition government is the prime political aspiration of the establishment. Because to topple such a government at any time is the game of their left hand. A phone call to a small party will do the trick.
PTI wants to use this desire of General Bajwa in its favor. It wants that when early elections are announced on General Bajwa’s wish, the impression is given that these early elections are the result of PTI’s pressure, so it is Imran Khan’s victory. But the problem is stuck here that the position of the N-League is that if Nawaz Sharif cannot campaign on behalf of the party in the next elections, it will not be a free and fair election again. Free and fair can only happen when all parties have equal opportunities, so the way for Nawaz Sharif’s return should be opened. It seems that the wish of the N-League is being fulfilled but in a completely different way. According to the N-League, the situation of equal opportunities is that both Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan are in the field. But the return of Nawaz Sharif can also be an alarm bell for the establishment, so perhaps instead of Nawaz Sharif’s return, it has been decided to throw out Imran Khan from the field to create “equal opportunities”. A possible end result of the foreign funding case could also be this. Even though we think this is a guess, the reality will be clear in the coming days!
