BANGALORE: In the Indian state of Karnataka, the government has deprived Muslim girls of their right to an equal and fair education. A school for Muslim girls was closed after female students wore a hijab.
According to details, Farooqia School, a Muslim girls’ school in Karnataka, was closed for allegedly violating the ban on hijab. The Hindutva patronage of the Modi government has swallowed up education.
The Modi government, which used the slogan ‘Teach daughter, save daughter’, turned out to be the enemy of the education of Muslim students. Authorities rejected the school administration’s request to open a school under traditional Hindu extremism.
It should be noted that the Karnataka High Court had ruled in favor of banning the hijab of female students during the march. The administration says that the students have to come to school without hijabs, otherwise the school will remain closed.
It should be noted that 450 students from 8th to matriculation in Farooqia School in Karnataka are protesting and grieving over the deprivation of education and are demanding the reopening of the school.
The students became emotional during the protest on the basis of Modi government’s slogans Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao. In case of non-opening of the school, the entire academic year of the students may be wasted and the parents are also protesting against it.
