ISLAMABAD: Model-turned-actress Mariyam Nafees has finally tied the knot with filmmaker Amaan Ahmed in a daytime Nikkah ceremony.
Nafees, known for her role in Diyar-e-Dil, got engaged to her beau a year ago and in a daytime event on March 25, officially inked the nuptial bond to her happily-ever-after.

The couple celebrated their dholki and mayun a few days before the nikah ceremony. In the videos posted by photographer Maha Wajahat, an emotional Nafees can be seen signing the nikah papers.
The bride looked ethereal in an all white, gold embellished gharara with hints of red – designed by Islamabad-based designer Maha Wajahat Khan. The outfit was accessorised with traditional gold jewellery and the bride wore a sleek hair bun, complete with flowers.

For her makeup, Nafees opted for a subtle day-time glam look. She wore soft, gold and orange-toned eye makeup with a winged eyeliner. The look was topped with a red lip colour.
Ahmed, on the other hand, as a groom looked debonair in a grey sherwani with a pastel blue pocket-square. Actress Hajra Yamin was spotted at the event wearing a white outfit.

Nafees had shared photos of her and Ahmed’s Dua e Khair in 2021, making their relationship Instagram official at the time. Last week, Ahmed surprised the actor with a dreamy marriage proposal in a picturesque location.
Mariyam rose to fame with HUM TV’s Diyar-e-Dil (2015), starring alongside Mikaal Zulfiqar, Sanam Saeed and Maya Ali. She was last seen in Jhooti (2020) as Iqra Aziz’s sister-in-law and Fitrat.
