Anything is possible in Pakistan’s politics. We have seen longtime opponents being grateful to each other and their allies being unfaithful and becoming foes. Interestingly, in our country, it has been called the beauty of democracy.
It is true that even the worst democracy is better than dictatorship but calling democracy in Pakistan itself is an insult to democracy because breaking opponents here is called taking wickets and when one takes his wicket it is interpreted as a betrayal of conscience.
We don’t need to go far away, in the 2018 elections, Imran Khan got a big victory after 22 years of struggle, but due to lack of numerical superiority to form the government, he first changed the loyalties of those who won the polls by fighting elections independently. His long-time friend Jahangir Tareen was instrumental in this endeavor and PTI workers used to say with great pride that our ‘lion’ broke another man.
Today, if sacks of notes are being distributed in Sindh House, then what kind of toffee did Jahangir Tareen give to entertain the people? Imran Khan, who was of the opinion that independent candidates are for sale and their bids are made after winning, did Imran Khan himself not bid for becoming the Prime Minister?
Calling PML-Q, bandits and MQM a party of terrorists, Imran Khan sometimes touches the knees of Chaudhry Shujaat just for the sake of power and sometimes calls the people of MQM sophisticated but the biggest mistake he made was ignoring his own party leaders.
Imran Khan took a very arrogant attitude after becoming the Prime Minister and threw his colleagues who came to the office of the Prime Minister in the trash and did not look back after using the power-hungry allies but the stick of time turned like this as first comrades fell to their knees and when the opponents lined up, the comrades also left.

Shafqat Mehmood, who raised flags in the field of education, Pervez Khattak, who carried the burden of national defense, Ghulam Sarwar Khan, who wanted to carry out suicide bombings, Fehmida Mirza, who kept the provinces together, and Omar Ayub, who brought economic prosperity Imran Khan has only Murad Saeed, the most unsuccessful opener Asad Umar and Zartaj Gul with 12 seasons and 19 points from Corona.
Imran Khan selectively collected leaders from every political party because the one who comes to PTI is a pious person and the one who leaves is a seller of conscience. If the captain changes allegiances, then he does the beauty of democracy, and if he does something else, then he gets lime on the face of democracy. Speaking of the no-confidence motion, Imran Khan had a numerical advantage in general. And when the tide turned and the game fell into the hands of the opponent, ethics, bullying, horse-trading, and not knowing what were the justifications.
If what happened at Sindh House was horse-trading and rigging, then how could the captain hope to thwart mistrust despite losing the support of allies and the revolt of his comrades. That is the reason Chaudhry Nisar, Aitzaz Ahsan, Maulana Ahmad Khan Sherani and Hafiz Hussain Ahmed. Yes, the captain did the same thing as the opponents.
Asif Ali Zardari is considered the king of politics and the fact is that in the last three and a half years, the PML-N and Maulana Fazlur Rehman could not make any movement in the government ranks, but as soon as Asif Ali Zardari came on the field the whole game turned upside down. It is done but the captain is still not ready to give up and voices are being raised for the governorship in Sindh this is a rewarding process for Asif Ali Zardari because intoxicated with the power he also imposed governorship in Punjab.
It is not possible to summarize the current situation of the country in one column. Now it can be said that the politics of the country has reached a very tragic juncture and the requirement of the time was that realizing the gravity of the situation, the captain would have resigned with self-respect and appeared before the people’s court and re-elected and formed the government with a majority. But because of his performance, he is convinced that he may not be re-elected by the people.
