The journey of ideology does not begin with a book. The book is its second stop. This journey begins with us. The caste that is equipped with the software of nature but at the same time the self and the devil are also present as rivals to mislead nature i.e. to destroy your caste.
This competition takes place in human life and it starts in childhood. In this silent but fierce battle you also have the company of a wonderful companion. A friend who is invisible but helps you step by step work day and night to draw you to the right and warn you of the wrong.
You get tired but it doesn’t, you get frustrated but it doesn’t and you may surrender but it doesn’t. It has to do not only with your subconscious but also with your consciousness. It speaks silently but still its echo spreads and is heard in your whole being. You know this sympathetic friend by the name of “conscience”.
The great thing about it is that it only speaks the truth. The support of the unseen is available to the truthful and the greatest truth is the one who values the truth within himself and gives priority to his guidance. If you constantly ignore this truth resonating in your caste, do not forget that the losers of nature and the devil have been seen in the majority in every age.
If steps are taken on the consultation of conscience in this stage of one’s self before the book, then gradually the personality begins to be formed which does not face any difficulty in the stage of the book. Then during the book journey, tall and strange-minded people will not be able to surprise you.
In the book phase of the ideological journey, “surprise” is the most dangerous thing. It is the wonder that binds you to any strange thought and you fall prey to it without analyzing its right or wrong. The good news is that these ‘surprises’ come in youth.
But the bad news is that as soon as you start presenting these writings as a theory, the day will soon come when you will be exposed to the fact that you were affected by a misconception just because you were a teenager. And to the extent that he considered himself an ideological person, he started presenting this absurd concept as an ideology.
The dangerous thing here is that you are not accustomed to listening to the voice of conscience, so the self and the devil make it difficult for you to admit the mistake. On the contrary, those who have been listening to their conscience from an early age, at first, are not immediately clinging to a bookish idea.
They do get some momentary serenity from these colorful concepts but they do not adopt them till they have analyzed it thoroughly and sometimes age ends up in this analysis. Even if they are surprised and do the same thing you did. So at any point in life, when they realize their mistake, they “turn” at that moment and they can do so very easily because they have been in the habit of obeying the truth since childhood.
Ideology and ideological journey has died in Pakistan. As a result of globalization, thinking, reading and doing have all become commercial. Not long ago we saw in our country an army of intellectuals who preached communism. They used to tell us that if there is any “ideologue” in our dear homeland, they are the same, but as soon as the Soviet Union collapsed, communism became an orphan.
Because its invitees belong to another market. If they were an ideological communist, it would not be so, but they would say that communism as an ideology still exists and we are still ready to fight and die for it. But that didn’t happen because they were fighting a bread and butter war, not an ideological one. The same kind of intellectuals in today’s history are selling the bargain of liberalism and they insist that this struggle of Bread and Butter should be viewed from the point of view of serving the ideology.
In this complete commercial situation, it must be understood that the same narrow alley from which the communists traded will also be useful to the liberal traders. Maybe because of their shortsightedness they are not able to see it but the exit of this narrow street has been opened.
