Al Qaeda, ISIS, and other terrorist organizations have a chance to flourish while these organizations have also started recruiting militants again.
The United Nations is well aware and concerned about the reactivation of terrorist organizations in the region. The hasty withdrawal of the United States from Afghanistan has eroded the confidence of other countries in the region in the United States She has turned to Israel. It is true that the United States and Israel have a close relationship, but it is also true that Israel has many more interests in the region than the United States.
Greater Israel’s motives behind Israel’s expansion of influence in the region will be covered in a later post, but suffice it to say that the manner in which the United States has withdrawn from Afghanistan against the wishes of its allies has also turned the states towards Israel instead of the United States.
Terrorist groups in the region fear that the Gulf countries will become more powerful after the Taliban’s domination of Afghanistan and they believe that the United States has failed to control Iran and the Taliban but Israel is a force that can stop Iran from advancing. The reason for the decline in the ongoing feud between Qatar and other Gulf states is that unless the Gulf states reduce their differences, the risks to them will increase.
Assessing the effects on Pakistan due to the situation in the region, Israel’s preparations for an attack on Iran are also clear and in such a case it is quite possible to raise voices in Pakistan as well because the government in Pakistan due to voices supporting Iran’s position may face serious difficulties.
Ironically, Pakistan’s support for the Taliban has not yielded significant results, however, now it is the turn of the Taliban to tear down the border fence erected by Pakistan at the cost of huge capital and human lives on the border and have resumed talks against Durand Line as before and openly opposed. This suggests that in the days to come, Pakistan will be able to integrate and focus on its diplomatic resources as well as the personal connections of the tribal forces and key individuals and develop a national foreign and security policy to engage the Taliban in other ways. This is a difficult task and this issue will start to increase the tension in the bilateral relations and we have to keep an eye on India in this regard so that it does not get close to the Afghan Taliban taking advantage of the situation which resulted in Pakistan as before.
