MARDAN: A mother and two children were killed and two others were injured when the roof of a room collapsed in Khurd village.
A mother and her two children were killed when the roof of their house collapsed in Khurd village near Takht Bhai Tehsil in Mardan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to police officials, locals, rescue and police teams gathered at the scene as soon as the incident was reported.
However, a woman and two children were recovered dead during the rescue operation, while two others were injured when they came under the rubble and have been shifted to the hospital.
Earlier, four members of a family, including a couple and their two children, were killed when the roof of a house collapsed due to heavy rain in Swabi.

According to police sources, a roof of a house in Yar Hussain area collapsed due to heavy rain. As a result, four members of a family were killed.
Citing the details of the deceased, police said a man, Raheem and his wife, Abida Parveen and their two one and half-year-old twin daughters died in the incident.
Police and local people pulled out the bodies from the debris of the collapsed house and shifted them to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities.
