A concern for state

Nadeem Moulvi by Nadeem Moulvi

Reading Time: 3 mins read

Unfortunately, our country’s politicians always think only of their own interest and parties, I wish they loved the country and the people before they loved their party! That is why in the last 70 years, the people have only used the slogan of “Roti, Kapra and Makan (Bread, cloth and house), which each party used for its own benefit.

The people are now disappointed and disillusioned with every politician; they do not understand what the future of Pakistan is. Fifty years ago, economies of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bangladesh and India were devastated. No one was prosperous, but if you look today, the economy in those countries has reached to another level.

Speaking of the UAE, it was a desert where neither the weather nor the conditions were pleasant, but if we look today, the Gulf state has become a sophisticated country where investment from all over the world can be seen. What are the reasons for the prosperity and development of Dubai, America, Europe and many other countries and regions like them?

Research shows that all of these countries invested first in humans and improved their living conditions. The developing countries gave less priority to human beings and more to machines and roads, due to which they continued to spend all their resources on other projects and their people became poorer.

In a country where the regime fives priority to its people, the citizens themselves support the government to build factories and roads and in the case of taxes these countries are strengthened. But people in Pakistan never pay taxes on their own because they know that their tax money will never be spent for the welfare of the people.

For the last 10 years, politicians in Pakistan have invested heavily in China to please them, which has weighed heavily on Pakistan’s national treasury. We had to borrow from all over the world to reduce this burden. Due to these mistakes of Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan, people across the country are suffering from inflation and poverty.

If Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan had carried out China’s projects under their own reserves plan, these projects might not have cost the exchequer but these projects would have become an important part of the country’s development. But alas, we have always run our country in an atmosphere of emotion and fear, and due to this, we always make decisions that hurt the country’s economy.

Even today we are victims of the IMF because of this fear and the global lender is frightening us even more that if they are not listened there will be no one to save this country. We have to understand that IMF, with its terms for $6 billion loan, is hurting our economy badly, which may cost us more devastation.

The current government is borrowing wheat from abroad at high interest rates and then donating it to Afghanistan. Even countries like Saudi Arabia, which are considered to be the representatives of human rights and religion, never give anything to Pakistan for free. Rather, money or oil is paid at an interest rate and favors are given separately.

Now is the time to think, will the powers of Pakistan allow these rulers to run the country in this way or will any patriotic force work for the future of Pakistan.
