Actress Meera, who is famous for her controversies, is surrounded by many scandals, and being married to a businessman named Atiq-ur-Rehman is one of them.
Who is Atiq-ur-Rehman?
Meera has been fighting a years-long legal battle in the court against a man who alleges he’s her husband. In 2009, Atiq-ur-Rehman, a businessman from Faisalabad, revealed he had married Meera in a private ceremony in 2007. He produced a marriage certificate as ‘proof’ of their marriage and said he had filed several court petitions against Meera.
Stance of Meera
Meera, on other hand, denied all of Rehman’s claims and insisted she is not married to anyone. She also filed a countersuit in 2010, challenging the marriage certificate and since then, the case has been going on.
According to Meera, she hasn’t been into any Nikkah and they have been dragging her into a false Nikkah for ten years.
Case
Now, earlier today. Lahore’s family court ruled actor Meera to be the wife of Rahman dismissed the actress’ petition to bar Attique from calling her his wife.
According to the court, the proofs provided by Rehman related to marriage were solid. The actress has been on the trial for years and it seems that she is not going to get out of it soon.

Meera appeared in court following her fake Nikkah case. The actress while proving herself innocent started crying and screaming in the court and said that she has been the victim of false proof shown by Atiq-ur-Rehman.
“The videos of Nikkah are from movies,” said Meera. The court ordered her to stop screaming in court and ordered Atiq-ur-Rehman to appear in the court.
