KARACHI: West Police in a timely manner arrested a fugitive accused after looting from citizens.
According to SSP West Sohai Aziz, the accused robbed the rickshaw driver Muhammad Nabi on Manghopir road at gunpoint and fled and the victim informed the patrolling police mobile.
The team of SHO Peerabad pursued the accused as soon as they got the information from the citizen, during which armed accused Fazal ul Aslam was arrested with illegal arms and ammunition.
During the interrogation, the accused revealed that the accused were present near the mosque to rob the citizens who came after Eid prayers. Cases have been registered against the arrested accused under other provisions including robbery in the complaint of the citizen.
The arrested accused has been handed over to the investigating authorities for identification and investigation in further incidents while the weapons recovered from the accused will be sent for forensic examination. Action is being taken to ensure the arrest of Nasir, the fugitive accomplice of the arrested accused on a motorcycle.
