RAWALPINDI: A girl from Rawalpindi has accused her father of sexually abusing her.
According to details, a victim named Mehreen Bibi, said her father is a drug addict. As a child, Mehreen revealed that she memorised Quran and studied up till primary school. Her father, however, did not allow her to become a scholar and stopped her from going to the seminary.
Talking to MM News, Mehreen Bibi said that one day when she was alone at home, her father raped her in a drunk state. She revealed that she kept saying that she is his real daughter but her father did not stop the heinous act.
Later she spoke about the matter with her brothers. Mehreen Bibi said that her father had repeatedly sexually abused her while her brothers had witnessed the situation and one of her brothers even has a video too.
She claimed that when she informed her relatives about the sexual abuse she went through, none of them believed her. “My relatives did not support me,” Mehreen said. “My father and brothers brutally tortured me,” she added. Later, she received treatment in a hospital of Rawalpindi.
Mehreen later ran away from home with a man named Ali who is her husband now. She asserted that her father and brothers started harassing her in-laws after she married Ali, a resident of Chiniot, who is hiding because his life is in danger as her family has threatened to kill him.
Moreover, Mehreen also said that her younger brother-in-law was also been forcibly taken by the police. “My father and brothers have kept my brother-in-law in the police station with the help of connections. There is no trial against him. My in-laws and I are being threatened with death.”
According to Mehreen, her father has demanded to get a divorce and come home. She expressed fear that if she goes back to her father’s home, she will again be subjected to sexual assault. “I don’t want to live my life like this anymore. I appeal to the higher authorities to release my brother-in-law and take action against my father and brothers,” she requested.
