RIYADH: The Saudi government has released new and clearer images of the Hajr-e-Aswad and the site of Ibrahim.
According to the Engineering Studies Department of the Reasah Alharmain, through Focus Stack Panorama technology the images are up to 49,000 megapixels and it took 50 working hours to process these 1050 photos.
More than a thousand photos released by the Saudi government will be seen by Muslims around the world for the first time.
The reddish-black stone is oval-shaped and 30cm in size.
The scared stone is situated in the eastern corner of the Ka’aba from the outside. It is the starting and ending point of Circumambulation.
The official said since the Black Stone is a “piece of Jannah and the first-ever high-resolution pictures reflect how beautiful paradise would be…”
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabian officials have appointed female workers to perform duties at the Holy Ka’aba. The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has appointed an estimated 1,500 females in its different departments.
A total of 600 women have been recruited in the Technical and Service Affairs Agency. Their duties are to serve the female worshippers who come to visit and pray at the Holy Ka’aba.

Earlier, Saudi Arabia had stationed women police officers on duty for the first time in history at Makkah’s Grand mosque Masjid al-Haram.
The Saudi Ministry of Interior has released pictures of women officers on duty. Female guards are seen wearing official uniforms as they perform their duties at the Grand Mosque, with the caption: “From the field. Security guards for Hajj and Umrah.”

The presence of female officers for Grand Mosque’s security impressed the social media users. The photos were retweeted and commented on by activists and analysts.
Turki al-sheik, head of the Saudi Entertainment Authority, commented on the photos with a tweet in which he said: “The homeland is in the field,” while Prince Sattam Bin Khalid Bin Nasser Al Saud commented by posting the image of the Saudi flag and green hearts.
