LARKANA: At least ten people, including four children, were killed and almost 35 others got injured, some of them critically, after a Dadu-bound bus overturned near Mashori bypass in Larkana district of Sindh today (Thursday).
Initial police inquiries said all passengers were relatives and were going to attend a wedding ceremony from Dadu to Larkana. Rescue officials informed that some of the injured were provided with first-aid while others shifted to local hospitals.
Confirming the incident, Deputy Commissioner Larkana said that at least 10 people were killed in the accident. “The deceased and injured people were shifted to the nearby hospital for medical treatment,” he added.
The accident occurred after the tie rod of the bus broke on the bypass and it collided with a tractor. Meanwhile, the authorities have imposed an emergency at the Chandka hospital.
