SWAT: Police have registered an ‘obscenity’ case against two people for allowing a dance party in the tourist spot Malam Jabba.
As per the police in Swat, a case of ‘obscenity’ has been registered against two people for violating COVID-19 SOPs by dancing and singing in Malam Jabba.
According to the FIR lodged by SHO Javed Iqbal at Malam Jabba police station yesterday, a few days ago a video of Malam Jabba went viral on social media in which 30 to 40 people were dancing.
The incident took place on 4th January, the owner and manager of a local hotel provided loudspeakers to his guests and a dance party was held. The report further said that the move was a violation of coronavirus SOPs while no security arrangements were made.
Police have named two persons in the case, one from Bara and the other from Faisalabad City. It should be noted that according to section 294 of the Pakistan Penal Code, the use of loudspeakers in a public place that is offensive to others is a punishable offense and the perpetrators can be punished with imprisonment for three months or fine or both.
