KARACHI: The Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) and Pakistan Army in a joint operation have seized a huge quantity of narcotics worth 17.275 billion from Pasni in Balochistan on Sunday.
According to a statement issued by the Pakistan Coast Guards, the operation was conducted in Pasni’s area of Shadi Kaur on intelligence information.
During the operation, the security forces seized drugs included 101 kilograms of meth and 2700 kilograms of hashish that could sell for Rs17.275 billion in the international market.
The recovered drugs were seized in the hills of the Shadi Kaur, Pasni, from where it was to be smuggled abroad through the sea, but the bid was foiled by the PCG and Pakistan Army.
The DG Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) has appreciated the efforts of the raiding team, said the spokesperson in his statement.
On September 27, Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) claimed to have seized a large haul of hashish from Pasni in Balochistan.
According to a statement issued by the PCG spokesperson, the Coast Guards in an operation recovered 2192 kilograms consignment of the drug from Pasni.
The cost of the recovered high-quality hashish in the international market was estimated up to staggering Rs 3.63 billion, the spokesman added. Earlier, the Coast Guards had recovered drugs worth Rs62 million in separate raids in Balochistan.
In the first raid the law enforcement authorities intercepted a suspicious vehicle at Winder Checkpost and during search recovered 25kg of hashish from the possession of four women.
The women were taken into custody. In another action, the authorities recovered 12 kilograms of hashish from a woman traveling via passenger coach.
