MUMBAI: An Indian woman has filed a complaint against her husband for breach of trust after discovering that he is bald.
The 27-year-old woman, who is a chartered accountant by profession, had an arranged marriage last month. Police in Naya Nagar in the state of Bihar registered the case last Tuesday based on her complaint.
According to Indian media, the husband, aged 29, had moved court for anticipatory bail but has been asked to surrender to the police.
In her complaint, the woman said that she was shocked to learn that her husband was wearing a wig and that the fact wasn’t revealed before their marriage.
The woman said that if she knew about her husband’s baldness before, she would have rejected the marriage proposal. When the women confronted her in-laws regarding the matter, they told her that it was a minor issue.
The police said that her in-laws and husband were booked under IPC section 406 (breach of trust) and section 500 (defamation).
