KARACHI: The district police have arrested a street criminal suspected to be involved in street crimes and recovered stolen mobile phones and weapons from their possession.
According to details, the police officials arrested one dacoit after a gun battle while three others managed to escape. A police spokesperson informed that the arrested suspect was identified as Imran.
The robbers are allegedly involved in street crime and stealing from ATM cash machines in Baloch Colony, Mehmudabad, Tipu Sultan, Jamshed Road and Shahra-e-Faisal and other areas.
The police spokesperson further informed that stolen mobile phones and weapons were also recovered from his possession. A case No. 2020/452 under Section 393/34 and 453/2020 of the Penal Code has been registered against the arrested accused.
Earlier on October 1, the district police claimed to have arrested one suspects red-handed while they were committing a dacoity near Iqra University Karachi.
SHO Baloch Colony Sub-Inspector Zubair Nawaz informed that they have also recovered weapons, stolen items, motorcycle, and other valuables from the possession of the arrested accused.
