LAHORE: A woman was gang-raped by two of her co-workers at a hotel near Lahore’s Nolakha police station, according to the district police.
According to the survivor, the suspects, identified as Irfan and Hasan, took her to the hotel claiming to have gotten her an interview at an international organisation. They then sexually assaulted her in a hotel room.
A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against the accused and special police teams have been formed to arrest the accused sooner than later.
Inspector General of Punjab police Inam Ghani has also taken the notice of the case and directed the Capital City Police Office (CCPO) to submit a report in this regard within 24 hours
He ordered the law enforcement agency to bring the culprits to justice at the earliest. The police said that a medical test of the woman will be conducted, while further investigations are underway.
Earlier today (Friday), another gang-rape case was reported in Punjab where a mother of three children was sexually abused in Multan. The incident is said to be one month old, while rapists are still at large.
