RAWALPINDI: A married woman has been allegedly raped by her father-in-law’s brother in the Adhwal area of Rawalpindi.
According to details, the incident occurred within the limits of the Chauntra police station in Rawalpindi. The district police have registered a case against the accused under the provisions of 957/376.
“The father-in-law’s brother called me under the pretext of some work, and molested and beat me when I refused to comply with his demands,” the victim told the police.
She maintained that the accused also threatened to lodge fake cases against her family if she reported the incident to the police. Meanwhile, police are conducting raids to arrest the accused.
The victim has appealed to higher police officials to take action against the brutality of the assaulter and demanded justice from the concerned authorities.

It is worth mentioning here that the country is already in a state of shock after two horrific rape incidents were reported from Karachi and Lahore.
A five-year-old girl Marwah was raped and then burned to death in Karachi’s Essa Nagri. Later, a woman was sexually harassed by two men as she was forced to stop by at Lahore motorway in front of her children.
