KARACHI: The Rapid Response Force (RRF) of the Sindh Police conducted a combing operation in Memon Goth area of Malir district and arrested six criminals.
The intelligence-based operation was conducted against street criminals and drug peddlers in the area as police searched homes and sealed streets in Jam Goth and Mullah Essa Goth. Female police personnel also took part in the operation.
Police seized 1.5 kilograms of cannabis as well as several unlicensed and illegal arms and ammunition which have been sent for forensic analysis.
During the operation, police arrested six drug peddlers including a highly wanted female criminal named Masmat Shama Gul who was a fugitive in murder cases. Twelve other suspects have been taken into custody while five of them are being interrogated.
The others were habitual criminals who have been arrested in various cases before. They were identified as Danial, Umair, Shaukat, Zakir Ali and Juman who are being investigated.
