Respecting Islamic personalities

MM News Staff by MM News Staff

Reading Time: 3 mins read
The respect for the Companions (Sahaba) of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W) is an integral part of our faith. Any believer who does not have the same respect for Ahl-e-Bayt (family of the Holy Prophet) is deprived of spirituality. This complements our infinite and respect for the Holy Prophet (S.A.W).
The Companions of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) are exalted human beings, who had the esteemed honour to learn under the Last Prophet of Allah. These were the chosen ones who had the opportunity to be with Holy Prophet (S.A.W) as his faithful companions.
The sanctity and exalted status of the Companions of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) is the reason why the entire Muslim Ummah showers their love and praise for them. After the Companions left for their heavenly abode, there have been many great and esteemed personalities in history who left an indelible mark on our lives with their knowledge and guidance. None of them could match the exalted status of the Companions of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W).
The Holy Quran and Hadith have numerous examples about the exalted status and esteem of the Companions of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W), their intelligence, knowledge, spirituality, jurisprudence, and the passion they demonstrated to even sacrifice themselves for the sake of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) and Islam.
After the parting of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) from this world, it is the battle commenced between truth and falsehood commenced by the enemies of Islam and the hypocrites to eradicate this beautiful religion.
In order to achieve their nefarious, they first wanted to injure the personality of Holy Prophet (S.A.W) but they could not because their hypocrisy and disbelief would be exposed. In this regard, they targeted the Companions (Sahaba) of Holy Prophet (S.A.W) and started propaganda against them.
Sometimes on the basis of the love of the Ahl al-Bayt and the political differences between Companions (Sahaba), and sometimes on the pretext of something else, these people would not miss any opportunity to defame their esteemed personalities.
In every possible way, they try to make the personalities of the Companions (Sahaba) suspicious in the eyes of Muslims. Not only that, but they also insulted the pious wives of Holy Prophet (S.A.W) but could succeed in their goal.
It is imperative that there should be local and global laws to stop the disrespect and blasphemy being committed against the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) and his Companions.
Norway, Sweden, France and other Western on the pretext of freedom of expression have hurt religious sentiments.
In the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, people are openly insulting the honors of the Companions (Sahaba). The emotions of Muslims are being hurt by using blasphemous words in honour of the Companions.
The nation is bitterly divided into groups, sects and factions and the unity of the Muslim Ummah has been shattered. We need to make respect for the Companions of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) an integral part of our faith. We need to follow the guidelines of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) and the four Rightly-Guided Caliphs.
