KARACHI: An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Sajid Tanoli is allegedly involved in various criminal activities including illegal aerial firing and receiving bribes for illegal activities.
According to details, police constable Shahvez Akhtar has filed an application against ASI Sajid Khan Tanoli. Serious allegations were levelled against Sajid Tanoli, including misbehaviour, illegal aerial firing and firing on people.
The plaintiff informed that recently Sajid Tanoli had beat up an SSU constable when the constable forgot to salute him. Sources informed that a case was registered against the ASI for shooting a neighbour.
Sources further informed that Sajid Tanoli was suspended in 2015 over involvement in illegal activities. However, in 2016, Sajid was reappointed after paying millions as bribes despite being involved in criminal cases.
The plaintiff informed that after the suspension the attitude of the ASI remained the same. However, he further said that the concerned officials were not taking any action against the culprit.
He and the residents of the area have appealed to the Supreme Court of Pakistan to take notice of this case and announce a strict penalty to the ASI.
