KARACHI: The trade of smuggled Iranian petrol and diesel is flourishing in the metropolis, under the alleged patronage of district police, as it is being sold in several areas of the city illegally.
According to details, a part of the Karachi’s Ibrahim Haidari has been a hub of smuggled Iranian petrol and diesel for a decade allegedly with the connivance of district police.
Sources claimed that the district police of Karachi’s Ibrahim Haidari is allegedly patronizing the trade of smuggled Iranian petrol and diesel in the area. Sources further revealed that the police are allegedly receiving a huge amount of bribe in this regard.
Sources have informed that smuggled Iranian petrol and diesel was being sold openly at two regular shops, named Ishaq Diesel and Mehboob Diesel, and another four shops with no name in Ibrahim Haidari.
When contacted by M.M News, SHO Ibrahim Haideri Shahid Mehmood refused to answer in this regard and said that will take action after investigating the matter.
SHO Ibrahim Haideri further informed that he would take action against any police personnel if involved in the illegal trade of smuggled Iranian petrol and diesel.
