RAHIM YAR KHAN: A cleric has been arrested for sexually abusing a girl at his seminary for the past several months.
Station House Officer (SHO) Abadpur police station received a complaint and launched a raid arresting Hafiz Ayub Ansari. The cleric was allegedly sexually abusing the female student at his seminary for several months.
The cleric also blackmailed the girl and threatened to kill her if she disclosed to anyone. Police received a complaint and arrested the cleric while a case has been registered.
In a separate incident, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has taken a strong notice of the murder of a 5-year old child in Rahim Yar Khan and sought a report from Regional Police Officer (RPO) Bahawalpur.
Buzdar directed that the accused found involved in committing murder should be brought in the stern grip of law. He asserted that the bereaved family should be provided justice under any circumstance.
He expressed heartfelt sympathy and sorrow with the affected family and assured the provision of justice.
