Today, 73 years after its independence, Pakistan is still plagued by innumerable problems. Despite our independence from British imperialism, we are still in chains of slavery. Pakistan is ruled by a certain gang, whether there is a civil or military government, certain faces are always seen deciding the fate of the people.
A post attributed to Russian President Putin is often seen on social media. Nothing can be said about its authenticity, however, the post is 100 percent relevant. The post stated, “Pakistan is a cemetery for Pakistanis.”
The post means that when a Pakistani rich class keeps its capital in Switzerland; prefers the United States or the United Kingdom for treatment; purchase things from Dubai and Europe; goes to different countries for travel, and get education from abroad. And when he dies, he buried in his native Pakistan. Pakistan is just a cemetery for Pakistanis and how can a cemetery develop.
Pakistani rules are only here to rule and when they are away from power they flee the country and return to the field with the determination to deceive the people in the next election. There are no facilities available to the general public in any city, village or town of the country except the elite.
“Every facility is available for the rulers and their relatives but the people who fill the coffers of the rulers with their hard-earned money do not get any basic facilities. No government hospital, educational institution or government office has the capacity to address the problems of the people.”
Recently, a member of the National Assembly moved a motion in the House in which he took a stand that the children of parliamentarians should educate in government schools. The point is absolutely right. Unless the children of politicians do not get education from government schools, the system will not work.
Such elite people cannot understand our health, education, infrastructure, electricity, water, and sanitation issues. In Pakistan, a rich man cannot even imagine going to a government hospital, and the poor can’t even imagine affording private hospitals. People of the ruling class even go abroad for haircuts but the poor villagers are forced to drink the rainwater.
Such elite people doing business in Pakistan squeeze the blood of poor people and send money abroad. Those who live a luxury life by making money from lies, deception, and corruption only want to be buried in Pakistan. Pakistan is really a cemetery for elites so how can a cemetery develop?
