ISLAMABAD: The district police today (Thursday) have arrested four Afghan suspects involved in various crimes including robberies and bike lifting.
According to details, the Khanna police station, in collaboration with intelligence agencies launched a search operation in Islamabad’s Sohan area on the directives of senior officials.
Police spokesperson informed that almost 130 houses, 50 suspected shops, and 25 suspicious Dhaba (hotels) were searched in the respected area during the search operation.
During the operation, two suspicious motorcycles and a mobile phone used in the robberies were also recovered. The arrested persons and the recovered items have been shifted to Khanna Police Station.
The police spokesperson further said that cases will be registered against them in accordance with the law after completion of the procedure and investigation.
Earlier on Tuesday, Police rounded up three out of six dacoits who allegedly raped two married women after barging into a house in Sher Dhamial and looting gold, cash, and mobile phones.
The spokesperson informed that the accused were identified as Rasib, Imran, and Adil Kausar. Officials of Police Station (PS) Lohi Bher have registered a case against six robbers under sections 395 and 376ii of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) on the complaint of Muhammad Akhtar.
