ISLAMABAD: Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a further decline of Rs1,000 today (Thursday) and traded at Rs 119,000 per tola in the local market, Jewellers Association of Sindh reported.
According to details, the price of 10-gram gold also witnessed a decrease of Rs858 and was trade at Rs102,023 against its sale at Rs102,881.
On the other hand, the price of per tola silver witnessed no change in prices and was trade at Rs1470 while that of 10-gram silver also remained static at Rs1260.28.
The gold prices in the international market decreased by $2 and were traded at $1931 against $1933, the gold association reported.
Meanwhile, the Pakistani rupee appreciated by Rs0.14 paisa against the US dollar in the interbank market. The greenback closed at Rs167.93 against the domestic currency at the interbank foreign exchange market.
The dollar fell against most of its peers amid fading hopes for a compromise between Republicans and Democrats over additional stimulus for the U.S. economy.
