ISLAMABAD: The residents of Islamabad’s Sector G13 are facing several issues, parking and security due to the increasing encroachments by the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA).
According to details, officials of the housing authority and the officers stationed in the sector are receiving a huge amount of bribe from the encroachment mafia.
The residents of the area have informed that they were deprived of basic facilities including sanitation and water supply, street lights, parks and security. The housing authority is constantly recruiting new members instead of facilitating the residents.
The housing authority has given a contract to a private company to build Residency apartments in G-13. The private company has illegally built offices, workers’ residences, warehouses, workshops, batching plants, and construction material storage facilities on public spaces and roads creating several problems for G-13 residents.
When contacted in this regard, Assistant Director Security Umar Khan said that he was recently posted and due to lack of time it was difficult to overcome the situation of encroachments in Sector G-13/14.
