Presidential system

Aijaz Ali Saghar by Aijaz Ali Saghar

Reading Time: 2 mins read
PTI-led federal government is facing major problems since it came into power in 2018. These problems were inherited from previous political parties. When PTI came into power, the system was completely shut down, institutions were almost destroyed, and the country was on the verge of bankruptcy. Previous governments had looted the country by turns.
The PTI was facing united and strong opposition including PML-N, PPP, and Maulana Fazlur Rehman. The mafia was also in full swing. In order to get rid of the problems, PTI started repaying external debts and replenished the country’s coffers. In this regard, the tax collection rate was increased.
As the institutions were almost destroyed, Prime Minister Imran Khan reaffirmed his commitment to restoring the institutions and directed the concerned authorities to take mandatory actions. Gradually, the institutions began to improve.
Due to the tireless work of Prime Minister Imran Khan and his ministers, Pakistan began to develop day by day. The national treasury that had been looted and the country was on the verge of bankruptcy was slowly coming to its feet. But unfortunately, some PTI ministers and members started following the footsteps of the previous rulers. On the other side, allies in Punjab and the Centre have severely damaged the PTI’s reputation.
First the flour crisis, then the sugar crisis and now the power crisis, PTI is facing a crisis since it came into power. And several obstacles were created in its way. Unrest and frustration is being spread among the people and it is being shown that Imran Khan and PTI cannot deliver. On the other hand, the opposition is increasingly criticizing the institutions.
Presently, all the political parties in the country are playing the blame game, and no one cares about the people. If the people, who made Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif president and prime minister, want Quaid-e-Azam’s Pakistan, then Imran Khan should be brought in as president. Currently, the mafia is too strong in the country, the process of punishment should begin to end this mafia and this cannot happen until the presidential system comes.
The people expected the PTI to end corruption but instead of eradicating it, corruption has increased. I urged the Prime Minister of Pakistan to take stern steps against the corrupt mafia and bury this outdated system. No matter, how strict actions it would be. The people of Pakistan wanted the Quaid-e-Azam’s Pakistan and the one Imran Khan’s have dreamed of – the state of Madina.
