NAWABSHAH: At least four people were killed and 30 others injured when a passenger bus turned turtle due to over-speeding in Nawabshah’s Qazi Ahmed on Sunday.
According to Motorway Police, the ill-fated bus was traveling from Mansehra to Karachi when it overturned in Qazi Ahmed. Police said the accident was caused by speeding.
After receiving information about the accident, Police and rescue teams reached the scene and started rescue operations.
The bodies and injured were shifted to Qazi Ahmed Regional Health Center for autopsies and treatment, respectively. Nine people were in critical condition and transferred to District Hospital Nawabshah police said.
Earlier, 13 people including four women and three children were killed while 30 others injured when a bus carrying wedding guests overturned in Jhal Magsi district. According to the police, the ill-fated bus was on its way to Shikarpur from Khuzdar.
According to Levies’ sources,’ the injured had been shifted to Civil Hospital Jhal Magsi for treatment.
On July 15, three people died and several others sustained injuries when a passenger coach overturned due to over-speeding at the National Highway near Ghotki.
According to the police, the ill-fated bus was going to Karachi from Sadiqabad. Getting the information rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the bodies and injured to the hospital.
