KARACHI: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a suspect accused of providing financial help to the agents of Indian spy agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).
According to details, FIA’s Anti-Terrorism Wing conducted the raid in Karachi’s area of Saddar. The Anti-Terrorism Wing arrested the accused, named Yaseen also linked to the international network of Hawala/Hundi operators.
The suspect, Yaseen, is a manager of an Exchange company and was involved in transferring money to the enemies of the state through Hawala/Hundi.
The authorities have informed that Yaseen was arrested after his whereabouts were revealed by the suspects who were apprehended by the FIA earlier.
The Anti-Terrorism Wing has recovered mobile phones, laptops, and other important stuff from the suspect’s possession. The FIA is in search of the other suspects in the crime.
Earlier on Tuesday, the FIA team had carried out a raid in Gulzar-e-Hijri area of the city to arrest an accused identified as Naqash for his involvement in Hawala and Hundi activities.
A day later, FIA arrested a suspect for committing targeted killings and being involved in bombings at the behest of Indian intelligence agency RAW.
