RAWALPINDI: A woman, who is suffering from thalassemia, has appealed for justice against domestic abuse and violence at the hands of her husband.
Ayesha Bibi, a resident of Dhoke Khala Khan in Sadiqabad, is suffering from thalassemia since ten years. She married Wajid Mushtaq in 2009 and they have four children.
On July 6, the woman claimed her husband severely tortured her with sticks and boards. The next day, he threatened to kill her after beating her and leaving visible marks.
The woman complained to police but they did not arrive despite receiving the call. Later, the woman said she fell unconscious. When she woke up, she was in the house of her husband’s uncle but later escaped from there.
Ayesha Bibi said her husband has been abusive in the past and she has suffered a miscarriage. She has appealed to CPO Rawalpindi and Chief Minister Punjab to provide her justice and take action against her husband.
